Put On As the Elect

Posted on

When we put on as the elect of God, we are accepting His invitation {i.e to invite–call/calling} to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; as the [bride/groom] of Christ.

Usually for one to be an heir, would suggest marriage or blood lineage, right?

Now if we look deeper into the power of the blood, we could see the significance of the adoption as fellow heirs as redemption-promise partners [one body & spirit] by the gospel.

Being that the true vine [ergo bloodline]; of our church, the body; is Christ. He is the head of us and the Most High of Him.

Does this mean that some were not invited… Yes or No?

The scriptures inform us that many are called but only few chosen.

Isaiah 54:5-8 | Revelation 19:6-9 | Ephesians 3:6 | Hosea 2:19 | Ephesians 5:26-33 | John 15:1

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
John 15:1

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding

Proverbs 4:1

For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
Isaiah 54:5-8

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband
Ephesians 5:26-33
