“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah”

(Psalm 24:7-10).

Matthew 5:13-17King James Version (KJV)13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

1 Corinthians 16:13-16King James Version (KJV)13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.14 Let all your things be done with charity.15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

In thought Quote for the day:
daily-meditations2017iepmartwork
I can empathize with the earnest need for us to have our understanding enlightened…At some point of our journey…we have to let the mind of Christ dwell in us richly, putting away fleshly walks and conversation; enough to embrace the kingdom life and free-setting spirit of truth. We mustn’t forget that God only reveals spiritual things to those who are spiritual.
