This morning my son shared a post concerning a diagnosis on heartbreak. Broken Heart Syndrome: Medically referred…
"Broken heart syndrome was first described in the 1990s by Japanese physicians who observed that certain patients with heart attack-like symptoms had a left ventricle shaped like a fishing pot used to trap octopuses, the takotsubo pot. You may hear the condition described as Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy" ( Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions Foundation (SCAI), October, 2013).
The article he shared suggested “True Statement” by his account. So I decided it was worth a gander to research it and found the following shared post held some validity: (see image insert below for the shared post).
I decided to do a quick google search to evaluate my hypothesis: “Is is really a true statement?” . I have always taught my children to seek the truth of a matter rather than relying on hearsay for more reasons than one. Today, I am thankful that as an adult, it stuck with my youngest son, who coincidentally loves sharing things at random.
Nevertheless, the data that I found was not at all alarming when I placed on my spiritual specs to measure reliability, validity and/or valuation to the claim.
Turns out there is a medical condition which is often referred to as the broken heart syndrome. According to my study, I found that it initially is a causation from stress-induced cardiomyopathy or takotsubo cardiomyopathy (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2013).
Not to take away from the medical standpoint, but we Christians know all too well that stress is aspirit form of worrying whether directly or indirectly. We also know that worrying is a form of doubt when considering faith walks. Neither align with the will of GOD and/or HIS ultimate wish for us to prosper and be of good health (Para, KJV).
There was too much info to list in this blog as I would like to because of time restraints with permissions, therefore I am just sharing some supportive passages, some of a number of links I found on the broken heart syndrome and this image quote, I created with the use of the following Fotolia clip art from my Microsoft software. In the image I pose the question Can a broken heart heal or be mended? Then in indirect answer affirming that it can I list supportive scriptures as well. Please take the time to review some of the data shared below in hyperlink(s) or study up on the biblical passages within this blog post.
We have to start speaking via the WORD; joy, health, happiness, worth, love, peace, tranquility, and/or victory over all of our circumstances in the name above every name, pleading the selfsame blood and dart-quenching fiery Holy Ghost Spirit over them as well in order that we build a zero or at the least for babes in CHRIST, a lowered tolerance for doubt which is a spirit form of fear, of which does not come from GOD (Para, KJV).
I deal with and have dealt with these spirits for over 35 years until I found out they were demonic assignments or attacks. They nearly killed me directly via suicidal and/or saturnine thoughts and/or attempts; and from a chemical imbalance and seizure episodes in the 90s. Currently, I exercise my faith, the power of the WORD (LOVE) in my life.
L.I.F.E. is Living In Faith Everyday
Do I still experience debilitating pains? Yes. Do I worry or stress over them? No. Since I stopped worrying and stressing over them, I have felt better internally, meta-physically and in some cases, bodily.
"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof" (Matthew 6:34 KJV)."And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose" (Romans 8:28)."For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled"(2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV)

Sharing Spent: Looking For Change (Documentary)

We are merely sharing this image and documentary video message for educational and awareness purposes because we both identify and empathize from experience with this type means of financial living. It hits home personally because it is a reality of how much of a struggle my path is towards financial freedom with financial security as a primary long-term goal. “It’s hard out here, but L.I.F.E. ~Living In Faith Everyday teaches us adaptation, perseverance, patience, forgiveness, and develops a countenance for various pains, which in my journey has been mostly financial crises struggling to keep head above water, among others. I too am an American Express SERVE cardholder since 2013, among others. (Canfield, L., 2014).

[I put up some information online about pay-day loans, car title loans, check cashing companies and so on and I was surprised at all the people who were affected, knowing people who have done this. The comment that I found the most was “stop living above your means”. [sic] Well, let me just say, you really should see the video that I narrated for American Express Serve. It’s called #Spent. I’ll post the link at the bottom, but I want to tell you why you should see it. Most people who find themselves in this situation are not living above their means, they are living by any means necessary. [sic] Again, to all those who think people use these services because they live above their means, think again. Watch this documentary. You’ll see. And to all my dreamers, keep fighting. Part 1: Are you Still In’ or Stealin’ the Presence of God?
“Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me?saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand-made all these things?”
(The Acts 7:49-50 KJV).
Just a thought to place up the soundness of mind in our getting “Understanding“
A throne usually signifies a royal seat as to suggest a KING SITS HERE. A footstool most often relates to a place ‘where the foot rests’. Also a very synonymous clue that whatever the foot rests upon is beneath, not in a lowly sense but under an authority or hint KING’s rule. What better rule would one want to follow than the creator, who is in, loves, and knows all, about us?
While reading over the WORD in Acts, there is a mention of people being “stiff-necked, with uncircumcised hearts and ears, who resist the Holy Ghost” (7:51).
What does this mean FATHER?
Simply, it is having stubborn disposition, a hardened heart and a deaf ear to instruction.
When we are stubborn we try to take matters into our own hands, thinking we have somewhat control over the outcome of our written lives. We shun at advice and disallow Love to flow from our hearts and into our minds, which helps to govern our behaviors.
Who is stiff-necked?
Simply, we are as were the Jews and the Israelites (Acts 7:51 |Ex 32-33 |Jer 19:10).
- Hardheaded
- Stubborn
- Disobedient
- Defiant
- Callous
- Selfish
- Prideful
- Complacency
… and this list could go on. God’s voice of reason instructs us on how to live a peaceful life united in Love for one another. So many people throughout time until now, oppose these inspirations due to lack of and refusal to adhere understanding to their lives via faith. They make themselves to be lesser gods, like “golden calves” believing themselves to harness absolute control or having the solemn ability to free themselves from the KING’s rules by their own admissions, behaviors, and forethought (Exodus 32:4-6 KJV).
Wow…but isn’t that what we are supposed to do?
Well this gets complicated for some and misconstrued by others. While we have the gift of power to think, behave, and comprehend; that power was gifted to us; to do, that it does not cause harm to others, that it edifies the mercy of the creator (KING/Authority).
When we make ourselves SOLE POWER instead of working SOUL POWER we are STEALING Authority. When we work via His righteousness gifted to us by Jesus Christ, we are being STILL in SOUL POWER (Isa 46:10 KJV).
Example:
- Women can have babies – a gift of soul power |Women did not create babies (humanity) – a sole power
- Man designs buildings through the mind’s imagination – a gift of soul power |The imagination works through the mind (created by our soul’s authority) – a sole power
- Buildings are ran on electricity, held up by combined elements, & matter – a gift of soul power |Elements and matter originate from the earth and/or its atmosphere – a sole power
- Man harnesses and puts a price tag on and charges us for utilities and water usage – a gift (or not) of soul power |Electricity, Gas (fuel), & Water are all from the earth – a sole power
Are you getting the central idea?
People take their gifts and make themselves gods by taking the glory away from the creator. We can’t keep doing this. GOD governs all, HE created it

We (the stiff-necked) need to be more obedient, show more gratitude and love for the gifts we have received through the Restorative, Redeeming, Sacrificial Blood of the slain, yet Risen Lamb (Son) of God, Jesus “Yeshua Messiah” Christ [Romans 8:34 | Hebrews 7:25 & 12:2].
“Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us” (Romans 8:34 KJV).
“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them”

We have to still fear GOD, in order to better our understanding, enhance our attitude of gratitude, and to learn how to receive divine instruction.

Sharing An OLD Exclamation that Still Holds True
Some important people who I hold accountable for my courage, strength, and perseverance are my grandmother ~Martha English, my favorite auntie ~Gloria D. Morgan, my godmother ~Vannie Nettles and the favored and infamous GODMOTHER ~Rosie Andrews. Why? Because Madear taught me about God and reading the Bible and asking for understanding and she always had a volume of sound advice and plentiful love to give. AuntGlo was the epitome of virtue, she showed me that a woman could work hard, be smart, and remain beautiful and respectful, while being a mother. She taught me all of my beauty tips, some of which I still use today and others that helped me to hide some nasty bruises and scars from abusive relationships. Vannie, well she taught me about the biological make-up of females, things like our menses, puberty, poise, and etiquette. She was a Girl Scout leader at the time and had a lot of insight on success. She told me that there are many lessons in life and the biggest lesson I could benefit from was to learn ahead, stay motivated and don’t worry about others’ opinions of me, all that matters is what I learn from the experiences of life. Now my Aunt Rose was looked down upon by the kids in the family (my cousins, peers, and sometimes myself) because she was stern in child rearing. I cannot even ad-lib on some of the things she either made us do or prohibited us from doing. What I can tell you is that this woman unknowingly became the role model for my growth, maturation, and parenthood. When I was young, I did not understand her rationale. Today, as a mother, it is a “constant” in daily living. You see her love was tough, but sincere, as an adult I got it! She taught me how to cook, clean, save and discipline others and myself (my kids & others’ kids too, ha-ha). Well, these women represent that gleaning virtue which the Bible speaks on about the beauty of wisdom. Now my othergrannie, ~Shellie Manning Canfield “Maw Maw” was the energetic hiatus in my life between all the hurts and pains I was experiencing. She did not know that at age nine after being molested and having my tiny vagina scald with hot water, and being pinched incessantly on my tiny nipples that I wanted nothing more than to leave this earth. I always looked forward to our weekends with her because she made it joyful full of fun. We went to see the movie “Grease and the Rocky Horror Picture Show” so many times I lost count, ha-ha. She taught us how to dance, laugh, and smile through whatever moods we were experiencing. She said “Chael, life doesn’t wait on you, you got to either catch up or beat it to the finish line.” Now as a kid I had no clue what that meant or the value it holds today, but “I am getting there.” Other phenomenal women to enter my life vicariously via my joy of reading, music, researching and my love for travel include Della Reese, Cicely Tyson, Maya Angelou, Patti LaBelle, StacyLattisaw, Mary J. Blige, Irene Cara, Keyshia Cole, Sojourner Truth and Helen Keller. Together, each of the aforementioned collectively represents Heaven’s angels whom God chose to whisper strength, compassion, heritage, and blind faith into my fortitude.
Even if the ultimate attainment of my reaches never evolves into the ripeness of my hoping, I can truly say thank you Lord for always guiding me. I may not have the monetary wealth others speak so candidly on but I have an unprecedented spiritual wealth to which only I have contention. The other day I felt I wanted to depart this world and I still do. This because I feel the cries, pleas, hurts, pains, challenges and defeat of others worldwide and when praying in the spirit, it weakens, saddens, angers me and leaves me flummoxed because all I can do is pray for them and myself. If I were to depart this BIG BAD WORLD today; my EXCLAMATION would be and remains today:
“GET UNDERSTANDING” Someone somewhere is…
- less fortunate than you
- compromised in their own skin
- illiterate
- insolvent
- abused
- misused
- thirsty or hungry
- clothes less
- homeless
- scared
- fatherless
- motherless
- childless
- friendless
…imprisoned, whether physically or mentally and they are wondering how to push through the next day.

- supposed AND/OR selfish kind gestures or contributions only to steal praises from God (2 Cor. 9:7/Rom 13:8/Heb. 12:10/Acts 12:23/ Is 42:8)
- cringed noses at others who they look down on, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY BELIEVE THEY ARE SUPERHUMAN (Romans 3:23 &12:3)
- negative outbursts about how others should follow their lead because they never make errors (Eccl. 7:20/Proverbs 20:9/Mark 13:11/1 Peter 2:21)
- claims to be perfect or ideal Christians who never sin in anyway (1 Jn. 1:8-10)

All Praises to the OMNIPOTENT
Truthfully, the more sincere, moral and/or ethical persons are those who do not publicize every act(s) of hospitality or support toward others. I have said this before that people should allow the recipients to express such kindnesses, especially if it was done freely without expectation of return or praise. I thought as Christians when we do this type assists that the glory goes to GOD via the recipients’ praises and reward to the gifter from the Lord. (Jn. 7:18/Matt 6:1)
- Knowledge is essential but absent love, it amounts to blah blah blah… just as warning of prideful nature precedes destruction. (1 Cor. 13).
- People are often so into themselves as being perfect Christians instead of learning to be perfected saints that they miss the mark (Romans 8).
I know, slow, and show my role as instructed not by man; but by the HOLY SPIRIT (Luke 12:12). Sometimes a person’s nice candor seems authentic but as the WORD states, inwardly they are RAVENOUS WOLVES gallivanting around in SHEEP’s clothing (Matt 7:15).
Support does not always mean one has to come out-of-pocket; sometimes the support can be in the form of following to lead (2 Cor. 9. / Matt 7:12-14). Yes, you heard me right. People expect you to jump in head first at their every whim absent evaluation (1 Jn. 4:1-6).
Empathy precedes divine giving…knowing and understanding from experience or from the probability of being the one who will need help one day. Rich, poor, short or tall…we all fall.

If people never know how to follow, they cannot perfect leadership in anything. So many times potential leaders are overlooked because the present leaders become selfish, and self-indulgent (vexed with pride).

“Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips”

If I had a say…
Stop pretending that your spirit is not connected to the body (one in Christ as joint heirs). If you have so much spiritual knowledge, then surely you understand that there is none righteous except JESUS Christ and because of HIS gift of salvation via the cross; you obtained a friendship and inheritance of HIS righteousness (Heb. 10:34). You were not always Ms., Mrs., or Mr. Goody Two Shoes & had to go through a perfecting of your faith by the original and sole author and finisher.
Newsflash: If you have never been broken then you never needed fixing (saving). If I support something or someone, it is of my heart, which is attached to my spirit after Christ and…

HIS HOLY WORD declares of our sanctification as believers, even before the womb (Jer. 1:5).
