This morning my son shared a post concerning a diagnosis on heartbreak. Broken Heart Syndrome: Medically referred…
"Broken heart syndrome was first described in the 1990s by Japanese physicians who observed that certain patients with heart attack-like symptoms had a left ventricle shaped like a fishing pot used to trap octopuses, the takotsubo pot. You may hear the condition described as Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy" ( Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions Foundation (SCAI), October, 2013).
The article he shared suggested “True Statement” by his account. So I decided it was worth a gander to research it and found the following shared post held some validity: (see image insert below for the shared post).
I decided to do a quick google search to evaluate my hypothesis: “Is is really a true statement?” . I have always taught my children to seek the truth of a matter rather than relying on hearsay for more reasons than one. Today, I am thankful that as an adult, it stuck with my youngest son, who coincidentally loves sharing things at random.
Nevertheless, the data that I found was not at all alarming when I placed on my spiritual specs to measure reliability, validity and/or valuation to the claim.
Turns out there is a medical condition which is often referred to as the broken heart syndrome. According to my study, I found that it initially is a causation from stress-induced cardiomyopathy or takotsubo cardiomyopathy(Mayo Clinic Staff, 2013).
Not to take away from the medical standpoint, but we Christians know all too well that stress is aspirit form of worrying whether directly or indirectly. We also know that worrying is a form of doubt when considering faith walks. Neither align with the will of GOD and/or HIS ultimate wish for us to prosper and be of good health (Para, KJV).
There was too much info to list in this blog as I would like to because of time restraints with permissions, therefore I am just sharing some supportive passages, some of a number of links I found on the broken heart syndrome and this image quote, I created with the use of the following Fotolia clip art from my Microsoft software. In the image I pose the question Can a broken heart heal or be mended? Then in indirect answer affirming that it can I list supportive scriptures as well. We have to start speaking via the WORD; joy, health, happiness, worth, love, peace, tranquility, and/or victory over all of our circumstances in the name above every name, pleading the selfsame blood and dart-quenching fiery Holy Ghost Spirit over them as well in order that we build a zero or at the least for babes in CHRIST, a lowered tolerance for doubt which is a spirit form of fear, of which does not come from GOD (Para, KJV).
I deal with and have dealt with these spirits for over 35 years until I found out they were demonic assignments or attacks. They nearly killed me directly via suicidal and/or saturnine thoughts and/or attempts; and from a chemical imbalance and seizure episodes in the 90s. Currently, I exercise my faith, the power of the WORD (LOVE) in my life.

Do I still experience debilitating pains? Yes. Do I worry or stress over them? No. Since I stopped worrying and stressing over them, I have felt better internally, meta-physically and in some cases, bodily.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose" (Romans 8:28).

I do not tell people all that I encounter throughout a day and with good reason. People are judgmental mostly due hidden bias but nonetheless they are, including me. I just felt like sharing a bit of me over the years through these social media walls (–emphasis added, mine) to give a sense of association to those who knew nothing of me. Perhaps in some weird way, I could connect to the family construct in the outer territories of my domiciliary position.As a girl, I have witnessed more than my desired share of heartaches, illnesses, negative situations that birthed a new challenge per each experience. I moved out of my mother’s home at the age of 16, running in fear. I did not know much about living on my own nor the responsibility and accountability would I assume. However, at age 44 and looking back I am torn between comfort and guilt, joy and desolation, relief and pain. I found that as a human, I am unique to my circle of feelings, emotions, beliefs, behaviors, and actions and that was scary! People whom do take the time out to read my sorted or sometimes distorted views, rants, prose may be taken aback by my Avant-garde thinking “she never shuts up.” You are right! I do not. Why? Because it is the experiences with having my VOICE buried or hidden under and behind busted lips, fractures, contusions, cuts, scrapes, and burns even from some ill-gotten treatment from others. I was punched in the face or mouth often and dared not to speak to others via someone else’s jealous obsessions. I had been sexually manipulated (mild way of saying raped) from the very ones who were supposed to be the people we seek refuge from other hurts and pain via association. Not naming names but these included past boyfriends, a pastor, my best friend’s step-dad, a couple of classmates and once it was a group of five strangers. I kept asking God, and myself why do these things keep happening to me and was I to in some uncanny way to blame? I took it upon myself to disallow the underhanded evil vibrations, entities of lust to have charge over me around mid-life (well in my early thirties). I had come too far to turn back and not far enough to stop moving. I lost my best friend to drugs as a teen. I developed a disdain for anyone affiliated with the use, sell, or link to them. He was a seller of drugs for a short period of time and my first cousin. He wanted out of the game and decided to leave but death prevailed that choice as on his way back home to his mom’s, someone beat, shot and killed him and left him face-down in a ditch for the family to identify. No one knew how devastating this was for me though. He was the sole person growing up whom I could talk to about any and everything without judgment and those type friends are a rarity. I became a mother in my teens due to lack of knowledge on sexual education, i.e. abstinence, contraceptives, the like, and I ignored the universal links to bad choices in men, or should I say boys. I ended up pregnant in every relationship after my firstborn because in my mind I thought sex made the relationship b/t a male and female. However, through the years and via education on the human psyche, I have concluded that these acts some way justify the missing link in my life…FACELESS & FATHERLESS. I did not know how to figure it out, which I was, from where I came. I had been adopted by a loving dad, but already had a dad I knew nothing about. The family often hides things from us for their own misguided purposes towards what they feel is good for us. This however has plagued me to this very day. I am often misunderstood by many and probably because I at times do not truly understand myself. My biological dad was somewhat well off but I could not share any inheritance of land, moveable and/or immovable properties because the family disowned me, but not with malice, I do not think. Perhaps it is because they never really got a chance to know me. Some members of my adoptive dad’s family over the years made it plain that I was not HIS, by right and even hurt me with the same notion upon his death. I was disallowed to grieve as a daughter, in a weird way and it hurts like hell, even today. Nevertheless, I do have a FATHER and an inheritance, which no one can purloin away. God the FATHER via Christ Jesus, the son and Holy Comforter!
Be Watchful & Thankful for the Good Angels You Encounter
Some important people who I hold accountable for my courage, strength, and perseverance are my grandmother ~Martha English, my favorite auntie ~Gloria D. Morgan, my godmother ~Vannie Nettles and the favored and infamous GODMOTHER ~Rosie Andrews. Why? Because Madear taught me about God and reading the Bible and asking for understanding and she always had a volume of sound advice and plentiful love to give. AuntGlo was the epitome of virtue, she showed me that a woman could work hard, be smart, and remain beautiful and respectful, while being a mother. She taught me all of my beauty tips, some of which I still use today and others that helped me to hide some nasty bruises and scars from abusive relationships. Vannie, well she taught me about the biological make-up of females, things like our menses, puberty, poise, and etiquette. She was a Girl Scout leader at the time and had a lot of insight on success. She told me that there are many lessons in life and the biggest lesson I could benefit from was to learn ahead, stay motivated and don’t worry about others’ opinions of me, all that matters is what I learn from the experiences of life. Now my Aunt Rose was looked down upon by the kids in the family (my cousins, peers, and sometimes myself) because she was stern in child rearing. I cannot even ad-lib on some of the things she either made us do or prohibited us from doing. What I can tell you is that this woman unknowingly became the role model for my growth, maturation, and parenthood. When I was young, I did not understand her rationale. Today, as a mother, it is a “constant” in daily living. You see her love was tough, but sincere, as an adult I got it! She taught me how to cook, clean, save and discipline others and myself (my kids & others’ kids too, ha-ha). Well, these women represent that gleaning virtue which the Bible speaks on about the beauty of wisdom. Now my othergrannie, ~Shellie Manning Canfield “Maw Maw” was the energetic hiatus in my life between all the hurts and pains I was experiencing. She did not know that at age nine after being molested and having my tiny vagina scald with hot water, and being pinched incessantly on my tiny nipples that I wanted nothing more than to leave this earth. I always looked forward to our weekends with her because she made it joyful full of fun. We went to see the movie “Grease and the Rocky Horror Picture Show” so many times I lost count, ha-ha. She taught us how to dance, laugh, and smile through whatever moods we were experiencing. She said “Chael, life doesn’t wait on you, you got to either catch up or beat it to the finish line.” Now as a kid I had no clue what that meant or the value it holds today, but “I am getting there.” Other phenomenal women to enter my life vicariously via my joy of reading, music, researching and my love for travel include Della Reese, Cicely Tyson, Maya Angelou, Patti LaBelle, StacyLattisaw, Mary J. Blige, Irene Cara, Keyshia Cole, Sojourner Truth and Helen Keller. Together, each of the aforementioned collectively represents Heaven’s angels whom God chose to whisper strength, compassion, heritage, and blind faith into my fortitude.
Even if the ultimate attainment of my reaches never evolves into the ripeness of my hoping, I can truly say thank you Lord for always guiding me. I may not have the monetary wealth others speak so candidly on but I have an unprecedented spiritual wealth to which only I have contention. The other day I felt I wanted to depart this world and I still do. This because I feel the cries, pleas, hurts, pains, challenges and defeat of others worldwide and when praying in the spirit, it weakens, saddens, angers me and leaves me flummoxed because all I can do is pray for them and myself. If I were to depart this BIG BAD WORLD today; my EXCLAMATION would be and remains today:
The WISDOM PRINCIPLES…

So grateful that I pray & God Answers Jn 16:22-24… I had been stressing over whether or not I am right to trust or support others, their businesses and/or causes when rarely it seems the gesture(s) are non-reciprocated. I had been on an emotional rollercoaster wanting to give up at times. HE showed me the selfishness in others as well as the selfless.
Where I am saddened, he lifts me with joy (Rom 15:13).
Where I became angry & desiring to sin by lashing out, he said “I Got You” (Rom 12:19).
Where I wanted to give up, he said “keep it moving” (1 Cor 15:58).
Where I lack control in my frustration, and call out to HIM, he assures me “you are forgiven” (1 Jn 1:9, Eph 1:7, Dan 9:9).
I used to tell people very often of my struggles, but now I just tell who can do something about ’em ~My Father and family in Christ.

I really love the Japanese Kintsugi (Kintsukuroi) Art correlation to the biblical truth where we receive strength via endurance, patience, tolerance, and development while we experience physical and mental weaknesses, disappointment, intimidation, abuse, pain, anxiety, standing steadfastly in various areas of need, but taking pleasure in the power of Christ (Para, 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 KJV).
THE BEST DAY in MY BROKENNESS
The Japanese Kintsugi/Kintsukuroi Art basically redefines the broken vessel with gold. Gold has a “fire trying” process towards purity (Paul Pusteinik Para, 2014).

Yet, in so many words that a picture may tell, it is full of expression, which I assimilate to as a broken vessel of which GOD designed wonderfully, flaws and all. (Ps 139:14 KJV).
*The Japanese art of Kintsugi, or Kintsukuroi, repairs broken pottery with seams of gold. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object even more beautiful than it was prior to being broken. It is a long and difficult process, but the results are treasured by those around it. Uplifting and hopeful, it is an inspiring metaphor for dealing with the times we feel broken in life. It’s a reminder to find the gold to mend ourselves (Paul Pusteinik, 2013).
Our faith as Christians or believers of Christ, has to be tried with the Holy Ghost fire, which encourages patience and empathy and all through strength and LOVE (GOD) ~James 1:2-3.
Lord knows I am in a period of “Make Do Praise” as spoken of in the sermon “Everything Mother Had to go Through” (Wright III, R. 05/12/2014, via ustream). I may not look like what I have been, or am going through, BUT GOD!!!! Hallelujah.

Both the song and the imagery speak volumes of strength and courage to me. I left home thirty years ago at age 16, already a single mom of one and expecting. Many years have gone by since then as with many difficulties as mentioned above. Now mother of six adult children (all away from home), experiencing medical maladies and financial distress, I still strive to make due. Somehow I never saw me reaching age 35, let alone forty-six BUT GOD!!! I cannot even expound upon how desperately I’ve longed that my life would amount to purposefulness and how even now at this fortieth decade, I still feel broken at times. However, when looking back at my experiences and correlating them to scripture, this Japanese Art form, and this song, the purpose is so much more VISIBLE via Spiritual Specs. Thank you FATHER for such clarity that it is not in vain.

Never judge a person outwardly. Their scars may bear more than you assume. The best books I own are worn, torn, highlighted and re-used. God only uses the best to put through the faith test, although the story seems redundant, HIS GLORY always reigns abundant.
I’ve been on the battlefield for a long time now and I am winning despite what it looks & feels like.
I created this because awareness ribbons come in varying colors…purple being the color for these of which I am survivor of 4, battling 3, and I know friends, family or loved ones who are battling or who have overcome them as well. The key point is the VICTORIOUS REIGN…PLEASE REMEMBER TO CONSIDER OTHERS WITH A DIVINE UNDERSTANDING of INVOLVEMENT:

A Testament of Regaining Power:
I have viewed via SOCIAL MEDIA, videos of children dancing provocatively and uttering vulgarities and profanity where someone often makes the comments “It’s all in good fun. As a victim of child molestation and rape, it is not all in good fun because there are sick people in the world who don’t view children as children and who all in their mind of good fun, choose to take advantage of misguided youth, who think it is fun to dance like grown men and/or women or strippers, wear clothes unbefitting a child, or berate as reviling fools, or the like.
I am just saying what God put on my heart to say and that is “train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they won’t depart it” If all a child has learned is the wrong things coming up what will they revert to when they get older?
There are child predators in social media who delight in voyeurism as well. If we don’t stand up for something we often fall for anything. God is real and we know this, but the devil is also just as real and he is a soul seeker by any means necessary starting with generational curses early on.
Break this cycle because there are plenty of methods to having fun rather than exploiting our children. The Word of God say suffer the little children and forbid them not to come unto HIM for such is the kingdom.of heaven.
Let me tell you how sly and crafty the devil and his adversaries are:
At age 9, I was molested, at age 13 again and shortly afterwards I became sexually active: at age 16, 20, 25, and older I was raped (non-consensual sex) by persons I thought were trustworthy and others I didn’t even know. So yes there is some authenticity to a good friend (the ones who say don’t teach that, do this or that…responding with love from the grace of God and I concur.
When the enemy has a demonic assignment on one’s life, it can stretch over years (same tricks) attacking different levels of weaknesses and lack of spiritual discernment and/or understanding. Moreover, it can latch on to other loved ones and offspring over many generations.
This is why once we become new creatures via water & spiritual baptism of the Lord & saviour Jesus Christ; we must put on the complete Armor of GOD; never taking it off. WE ARE AT WAR… with all that attacks and tries to kill, steal, and destroy the sanctity of love, peace, hope, faith, salvation, and prepaid for souls.
This is a message from God for the hearer (teacher) over the child or babes in Christ.
Someone once told me that i would never amount to nothing nor have anything, would not ever have anyone to love me or even love me with six kids. They were speaking negativity into my life early on but it was not until I began to speak an opposing rather subjective opinion about my life via the words given for our instruction and inspiration, that I came to a different realization.
“I am more than a conqueror, fearfully and wonderfully made, saved by the sufficiency of God’s grace; can do all things the joy of the Lord who strengthens me; I have power, love and sound mind; I can have my desires through asking according to his will; there is a good thing to be found in me; I am a vessel of peace and I have spiritual empathy….” (KJV)
Today I speak good things that edify GOD, uplift others and self. I monitor my speech as much as possible as well as my ears and spiritual eyes. I have learned that everything that glitters is not gold and sometimes what seems to be authentic is only fool’s gold. A bit cliché but a well noticeable point indeed.
When you harness your god-given power as some dear friends are always pointing out (thanks Debra & Kanina); you begin to walk by faith in the power to attain what GOD has already given you.
